Google Gemini - will it kill off the Google Display and Mini devices?

I bought 3 Google displays and 2 Google minis over the years kitted out in various rooms of the house. They went through a month or so recently of acting bizarrely so I figured this was due Gemini becoming more of a thing. What's Google's plan here? I'm guessing the current mini and displays will not support Gemini?
