I used to get popcorn kernels (the ones you make on the hub - I don't have a microwave) in Tesco or Supervalue, but they have only had the microwave type the last month or so, any idea where I can get them Dublin northside?

    Thanks.

I had the same issue recently. Used to get them from Amazon but because I'd get a huge tub, every time I'd go to reorder, the seller would be gone.

I bought from "Nuts in Bulk", link here:

    €4 for a kilo

Asian supermarkets carry large packs of popcorn kernels

Oh do they? I have one nearby I'll try later today but if not I'll order online as per above, thanks.

Asian markets and healthfood stores are my current go to. Manhattan still sell the bags of popcorn kernels, but it's been a while since i've seen them in the supermarket. Ditto for the Kelkin kernels.

@alias no.9 Got 2kg for 6.25 in the Asian shop last night, thanks!

@Yeah_Right Thanks for the link, I'll keep it in mind.

@Tree Yes, I used to get Kelkin in SV and Tesco, then it it was no longer available (still have the microwave ones) so then Manhattan was the only option in SV, now that's gone too. Very strange!

I suspect more ppl buy the microwave than the kernels, but like, you can't put proper butter on the microwave stuff, and there does be loads of kernels left in the bag, and you do any amount you want in a pot
