Oil tank level sensor

Sorry for the poor photo. I got asked to fit an oil level monitor to this tank for a lesser abled older relative. Would I be right that this cap circled in red covers a 32mm hole designed to take the bullet shaped sensor ??

FFirstly, that lid looks like it's never closed. That needs to be addressed as water will eventually messup the pump.b
New sensors don't fit those holes they will need to be drilled

yes,remove cap, 32mm bore inside,suitable for an Apollo oil sensor

Looks to me like the OP just opened the padlock lock of the lid then the lid before taking a picture. There would not be a dry build up of cobwebs if that lid was open
