Where is best to rent if moving to Dublin for the 1st time

Visited many time (temple bar i know 🙄) but was looking at seeing what areas are good to rent in anyone could recommend. What would about a 1000 Euros a month get you for a single person?

You might just about get an ensuite in a house/flat share for that money, but not particularly centrally.

I see daft.ie has some bedsit-type places in Dublin 6 and around for under the €1000. Good location if you don't mind living in a broom cupboard.

Look for room with ensure bathroom there's a housing crisis look for a place that's not more than 3o minutes from where you work .avoid coolock finglas tallaght look on daft .ie you,ll need a large deposit ask for a rent book

Why not more than 30 minutes? The OP might have to move further away from their place of work or study.

The problem is there s 100s of people coming to Dublin. Every month there's a limited no of rental units you ,ll probably have to go for a house share eg one room share.d kitchen bathroom we have a housing crisis

House share for that money is your only option really or might be lucky to get a small bedsit with everything in one room with damp, mould and outdated.

Your really looking at any area in commuter distance really.

Bedsits are now illegal .it's very hard to get a flat of you are not working you have no references to give a landlord .you ,ll have to go for a house share .

I don't think you will have a choice to be honest. Like everyone else renting in Dublin you will be lucky to get something that 1. You can afford and 2. You are selected by the landlord

You will just have to take whatever you get, basically

Exactly this! OP go onto daft.ie put in a dublin and your budget and see what comes up. Look at sharing. Even then you will be pushed to find something.

You then have to go and view, if they accept you then you need references and the deposit. Some places require you to be earning a specific amount as well or you won't be considered
