Eir vs Virgin

Was initially planning on moving to Eir and their streaming box but some decent offers on Virgin's broadband and TV packages.

Biggest advantage I see is Virgin have a better range of channels available, but you can't use an existing Apple TV for example to avail of multiroom like you can with Eir, whereas offers of €7.50 pm at the moment with Virgin for an additional box.

Eir you get €10pm mobile for being a broadband customer and Amazon included so it's swings and roundabouts at the moment, how are people finding their streaming boxes now?

It appears that both Eir's and Virgin's boxes are pretty similar with Virgin's product more ingrained into it but with Eir it's just an app.

Eir can be got for a better price, Virgin has better TV channels is where I'm at at the moment.

I use eir in 3 rooms, buying two refurbished AppleTV's directly from eir. Each rooms shares one Tv subscription for eirTV and NOW tv. I used use satellite boxes but gave them away…

Just curious what did you go with in the end?

Eir for broadband but neither for TV. I was planning on going with Eir for TV but got a reasonable offer from Sky for stream a week or so after my Sky Q service ended and when I worked out the price of going with Eir/Virgin and Netflix separately compared to Stream it was worth going with them.

could possibly get eir tv and a now entertainment pass for €5.99. €21.99 total and you’ll add a good few extra channels.
