Changing electricity suppier

Hello, I would appreciate some advice.

I've just moved back to live with my parents and trying to get their bills in order. Currently with Electric Ireland not paying direct debit and out of contract and on a high unit rate.

I can get them a better rate with another supplier in the market place on a 12 month contract.

However I'm concerned I heard a representative from bonkers say that electricity is going to increase and no company is offering a 12 month contract so just concerned is there 'red flag' I should be concerned about?

There's loads of 12 month contracts. Pick the one that suits you best.
