I got a Lenovo legion for 1200 back In January 2022 and itching for an upgrade. I usually build my own PCs but got the below which made sense with graphics cards shortages and prices at the time

    processor 5700, 2x8GB DDR4, 3060ti, 512gbNVMe, 400w power supply, love the case as well.

PC has served me well but looking for upgrade. Probably 1500 of my own money and whatever I get for the above, maybe 500-600. Be looking at selling it all together.

I have a dell 4k 120hz monitor but probably focus on 1440P 120hz and TV also Oled 55 inch tv also 120hz.

    Thanks

That still seems pretty solid enough. What's the reason for looking for an upgrade? Are you targeting any specific games or resolutions?

Ideally 120hz 1440P gaming on ultra. Games like the new GTA 5 enhanced release, halo infinite, cyberpunk id like to get 120hz at ultra setting.

An upgrade makes more sense than a full build.

    Lenovo Legion T5 spec

The CPU is likely to be Ryzen 5700G which should be upgraded if going for high frame rates. Might as well go for 5700X3D.
CPU cooler, can get a Thermalright (Burst Assassin: 148mm, Peerless Assassin mini: 135mm) which will easily fit.
RAM, buy 2x 16GB DDR4 3200-CL16. No point going for faster with an X3D.
Storage, may as well buy a 2TB M.2 SSD now. Your motherboard should have a 2nd M.2 slot

    PCPartPicker Part List: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/TBfRqH

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D 3 GHz 8-Core Processor (€248.77 @ Caseking)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin MINI 66.87 CFM CPU Cooler (€41.89 @ Caseking)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Burst Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler (€21.59 @ Amazon Deutschland)
    Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (€51.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (€119.00 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Power Supply: Asus Prime AP-750G 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€95.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
    Total: €579.05
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

That still leaves you with enough money for an AMD RX 9070 XT or RTX 4070 Super / 5070.

It's actually the 5700 not the 5700g, the non x version. i think ill just sell this PC as is and go for a fresh new build for 550.

Any motherboard except those that fail the Cinebench test: https://www.techspot.com/review/2861-amd-b650-motherboards-part-3/

As long as it's not bad & has the features you want (e.g. enough M.2 slots, WiFi, ATX/mATX/mni-ITX) it's fine to buy.
