That must be Nigel with the brie...

I was just thinking with the similar names, international Irish crime family. Maybe I am reaching.

Only one more episode to watch, excellent series. Guy Ritchie should have moved over to TV years ago.

just caught episode 7 and I really enjoyed it and a new key character seems to be involved now, I wonder if this could take a spin with Harry for series two after the demise of the family

Surprised Richie didn't let Conrad who tipped him off about Amsterdam.

Series has grown stronger as it's gone o. 3 episodes to go.

didnt at all like the Deus ex machina in the last episode, it was laughable to be honest.

I enjoyed the final episode, edge of your seat stuff. I don't like when they finish a series on a cliffhanger though. There is a chance it might not be renewed for whatever reason and then you are left in the lurch.

Oh is it released weekly? I thought it had just been released in one. That's good.

Am watching it and up to current episode. It's scutter, pure and utter scutter but damn it all I'm enjoying the hell out of it. The grandson is an utter bellpipe but and it will be interesting to see how things go when Harry finds out about what happened with him in the most recent episode. The whole Jan arc is bollox too, as if a gangsters long term wife will tell some randomer where her husband has gone when she knows there will be shenanigans afoot. The whole thing has been done before and done substantially better but its like Sons of Anarchy, preposterous nonsense but immensely watchable.

I know it's pure fantasy, but I'm even scratching my head at the plot. They bump off their main rival's son, and then his wife. But they do a deal to sacrifice one of their own, and then are distraught when the deal is reneged on and they are double crossed ! This is even harder to take than Brosnan's 'brogue'!.

well it wasn’t the family that did the deal it was the character played by Helen mirrem who we see is actually pulling the strings with her husband and looks like this will be their downfall as a family, she was the one that put her grandson up to the murder also

That was ridiculous Mirren giving up the 2 kids to Richie and thinking "oh he'll only kill the love child like I asked him". The son was obviously going to be the first one for the chop. Harry then going full military mode killing everyone in Antwerp, didn't know London gangsters had such weapons training!

Its absolute nonsense but its entertaining enough.

But is the girl her stepdaughter and not blood?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,159 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

the girl was the result of a hook up with the strippe, she’s not blood hence her colour

I don’t think Harry is a typical gangster, the contact in the plane showed us there’s more to Harry than an enforcer/thug

Loved the last episode overall but some very cringy dialogue in parts

Harry - pulling an assault rifle on a Moroccan gang member

"D'you want a hole in your sweater?" 🙄

It'll be interesting to see how the disappearance of the two murdered cops is going to be explained. I find it unbelievable that a professional crook would do something like that and expect to get away with it.

    ^^^

I have a feeling Richie will try to frame the Harrigans somehow.

Its complete nonsense but entertaining at the same time. Tom Hardy has been holding it together but he's gone complete bonkers now. Must have killed 20 people to find out where the brother and sister were when it turned out a quick phone call would have worked.

Yeah, i was thinking that was awful stupid and tok unrealistic in an unrealistic show, but maybe that's where they are going with it

It is a genius move if you think about it. Richie can't get at the Harrigans when they are holed up in the Cotswolds but if they get banged up he could easily have them killed in prison. Even if it doesn't go that far they would have to go to the police station to give interviews and come out in the open where they could be targeted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,033 ✭✭✭✭Snake Plisken

Don't know as sounds like this meeting between Conrad and Jaime could end up with Richie getting the sharp end of the chainsaw. Also Harry throwing the insider on Richie's gang off the roof when he said who the mole was in Conrad's crew maybe he said it was Maeve or wonder is it Kevin?

Good to see Toby Jones appearing as the crooked retired detective.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 273 ✭✭Quiet Achiever

I'm guessing Kevin. He's under utilised. If he ain't, he'll definitely have a big blow out with Tommy at some oibt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,922 ✭✭✭El Gato De Negocios

I think it has to be Paul that is the mole. It doesnt make any sense that it would be Kevin. Also, who is this other brother that Maeve referenced? They arent going to do anything stupid like revealing Harry is another illegitimate son of Conrad are they??

  • Subscribers Posts: 43,207 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

Then Eddie and Gina would be fcuking first cousins.

I don't think Conrad or Maeve would allow that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,132 ✭✭✭This is it

Edit, Crap, don't know how to spoiler :/
It's Eddie, no? Conrad had a fling with Kevins misses and then introduced her to Kevin when he was done with her
• Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,922 ✭✭✭El Gato De Negocios

But then Maeves hatred of Conrads daughter but adoration of Eddie makes no sense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,958 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Yeah they couldn't really have made it more obvious. Panning straight to him after Maeve said it, plus Kevin's furious reaction.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,159 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

clear as day it’s Eddie she was talking about

I wonder does Eddie know the situation too after the way he spoke to Harry in the bedroom about Harry working for him.
