    Hi all,

Just looking for a bit of advice. My house is only 20 years old but really could be warmer.Has anyone got maybe the air to water system put into an existing house...or any other system that works well.

Also wondering if theres still a grant for solar panels ..

Yes, there is a grant for solar. It’s a bit less than it used to be, I had mine installed in 2023 and the grant was €2400 then. I believe it’s €600 less now. I would highly recommend solar, but it depends heavily on your house orientation, roof space and your usage / dependence on electricity versus say oil/gas.

As for A2W, I also have this. And in combination with under floor heating it is a great setup, but for a house that’s 20+ years old and “could be warmer”, your first priority needs to be upgrading your insulation - walls, attic, etc. Because A2W works optimally in a house that’s well insulated with a good air tightness rating. Otherwise it will be much less effective and will cost you a fortune in ESB bills.
