OnePlus Phone Substandard Performance

    Hi all,

    Having had a few OnePlus phones over the years (with no issues), I bought a new OnePlus (Nord CE4 Lite 5G) last June. As expected it worked fine at the start, but since around Christmas onwards the performance has been terrible. Constant lag between apps, very slow at times also. And I'm not running any fancy apps, just Whatsapp, etc. Also did a virus scan and nothing showed up.

    I've contacted OnePlus customer care and they are recommending that I return the phone for repair. However, in that case, I'll be without a phone for a few weeks. My preference would be a replacement phone and start afresh. Is there any policy/regulation which would give me the right to insist on a replacement instead of going down the repair route.
