    No tinge about it. Outright.

Oh ffs - unreal. Just because you WANT it to be xenophobic doesn't mean that was intended whatsoever.

And that's what you pick up rather than the condition of the place. Others were saying only let to Eastern Europeans and my point was: don't think someone's nationality (or the general area they're from) always guarantees they won't be an arsehole. Anyone of any nationality can be arseholes - including Irish people in a big way. Focus on references, history, how stable their income is etc, not nationality. How come the person who said they only let to Eastern Europeans didn't get it in the neck for discriminating against other nationalities?

The unfortunate truth is that stereotypes do come from somewhere. I have always worked with hard working, law abiding and religiously observant Polish and other Baltic Europeans. I have a very positive disposition towards them.

Not sure I follow, are you saying that the OP might hire someone bad to get revenge on the tenant? The only one who might have the motive to do terrible things would be the OP.

I am saying make sure that nobody gets that information as they may do something bad with it. Those people are motivated by greed and manage to get such information in so many ways. I would never suggest hiring anybody to do do something they will do for free. I do know people tend to build up enemies if they are in the habit of being bad to others.

I'm not sure if it's me or you, but who could get hold of information about the ex-tenant that would have motive to hurt them?

or is it that the tenant has the PPS number of the landlord?

If the landlord didn't make sure the information is destroyed somebody could find it in their green bin. The scammers motive is greed, why would this have anything to do with the landlord? How could you say the landlord intentionally gave this information to anybody.

People get their information stolen all the time and nobody can say how they got it. I have no idea why you think the landlord is trying to do anything bad. It was a warning
