    HI

I have a learner permit for am and am and a1 for over a year now and for some reason I was never put on b category. Just wonder if I will have to wait another 6 months till I can sit my test for b or is it exempt due to actual road experience

    Thanks Sean

Is there no crossover at all seems incredibly backwards when I've done more than 20k miles on a bike yet have to wait another 6 months. Ahh sure that's this country just gonna have to talk shite to this ndls woman amd see if she can do some slightly illegal magic

Do you mean also that it is then taught of as a first time permit again

I have a full B licence for over 18 years, if I go to do IBT, I’ll have to wait 6 months before doing the test. There is no way you’ll get anyone to do anything for you.

It is “taught of” as a first time permit, because it IS a first time permit for the category. You will not need N plates when you pass the test as long as you’ve had N plates on another category.

Yes from b to a is completely different due to the fact of no experience on the road at all compared to an a to b where there is already real road experience. Don't lose thrust in the gift of the gab yet this old woman likes me alot might throw it down and a renewal. Be needing god on my side but he might be

    Thanks anyways

I don’t even know what you’re tryin to say at the start, but you’re the one that came here looking for what the law is on this matter, so don’t turn around and downplay it and say that you’re going to be trying to break said law! So how about, for the sake of everyone on the road, you do things properly!

Read it again, A is bike categories and B is car categories. On a B learner permit which again is a car category you have no road experience at all when changing to a A learner permit but if you are on a A category learner permit with ibt you already have road experience. For me anyways it would be over 20k kilometers on just a 125cc with no accidents or claims and thats without counting any of the other bikes I've rode

And it wouldn't be me breaking the law anyways it be the woman at the office

And read again what I’ve said, someone with a FULL LICENCE in any other category, with YEARS of ACTUAL ROAD EXPERIENCE, STILL needs to do the 6 month wait when they get an A category LEARNER’S PERMIT. There is NO getting out of this!

And you have to do the 12 EDT lessons, how do you plan getting around that?

There is no getting around that you can't buy a full licence but what you can do is play nice with the ould lady with less than 5 years to live to try get the date on the permit pushed back maybe a month or so if possible. If you never try anything mate you'll end up being nearly 30 alone spending time arguing over something that was little more than a joke on a random tuesday night. Ohh wait that's you awwwwww

At least I’m not that bored that I would create a new account and troll on a platform people use to get proper advice, how low must life be to do that?
