Hi, long drawn out divorce proceedings, but finally the other party’s solicitor has issued proceedings. Both parties have all paperwork in order and updated and signed affidavit of means. What is the expected timeframe now. Solicitors seem to have gone to ground on both sides and only answer that can be assumed is that matters are now in the hands of the court system.

Hi,
With my sibling, it took about three months from an agreed separation agreement to a meeting in front of the judge. After the hearing it was two months before the decree was granted.
Is it possible you could ring the court where you are going and ask them for an estimate of time?
