moving to the area and looking at secondary schools in Swords - Colaiste Choilm or Fingal Community School as have been offered a place in both and unsure- does anyone have any experience with either of these schools?

It depends on whether you want to send your kid to a single or mixed sex school. Both decent schools in my experience
