hi, l have received a warning from a moderator (squonk) of the radio forum for a post made on the liveline thread. My post was “call lahvloin” the mod claims my use of “lahvloin” is mocking the presenters (Joe Duffy’s) accent. I believe this is petty and excessive moderation. I would also ask the mod to listen to the intro of the show where the host specifically and deliberately distorts pronunciation of the word liveline to lahvloin. In fact RTE shows ie “callans kicks”refer regularly to the hosts accent and regularly used phrases, so what is this particular moderators issue? On another point, as l can no longer access the radio forum l assume l have been banned for a specific period of time. It would be nice to be told if this is in fact the case.

The new radio forum charter came in to place last week. It is stickied at the top of the forum. There were a number of on thread announcements and a number of on thread mod warnings.

A warning in the forum now comes with escalating bans. I assume as this is your first warning you have been banned for 1 day, 24 hours. When your ban expires please read the new forum charter

1 point stays active on your profile for 1 week. If you accumulate 5 active points a temporary siteban kicks in.

The 1 point will expire on 20th February. The forum ban will expire tomorrow, 24 hours after it was activated.
