I'm a current Sky Q TV user with the very basic package. I have been offered Sky Sports and Sports Extra for €35 p/m until September.

Any Sky customers care to share their current monthly bill or current package in use!

Just want to know if I have been offered a good deal or if there is better offer out there!

I have sky q myself but I have the nowtv app on my tv for skysports and sports extra. Currently pay around €24 for both

Yeah, I took the same deal, with the sports/sports extra at €27 a month, for 6 months.

I did have the NowTV before that for the sports, but sky is much better. Better picture, and not behind time like NowTV is.

€35 isn't bad for what you get in fairness, and it's only a good deal if you really are into your sports, excluding the football which won't be on over the summer months.

Thanks, I am into sports and when the football ends you have the WSBK & MotoGP during the summer! 😊

    Hi alanc2003,

As a Sky Q user with the nowtv app for sky sports and sports extra for around €24, how do you find the app for quality and the like? Is that a 6 or 12 month contract?

Its a rolling monthly contract so you can cancel at anytime. There is a good thread on bargain alerts with all the current offers and discount codes on nowtv.

It does the job for watching the football albeit with a slight delay from livetv but you would hardly notice. I have been using it for about 2 years without issue

I cancelled my SKY Q in June 2024. Sent back the box via Cardboard Box they sent. My actual contract was stuck until Nov 2024. So i accepted that hit. But now I have spotted that they have been taking usual subscription from my acc all the time til now. It is from an Acc I dont use much. They will not return any money because they say I never rang them again to Cancel in Nov 2024. Unbelievable!! Will never go near them again. My reward for about 12 years with them solidly. Oh and it will be a month before they re-cancel because of 31 days notice. So another month of subscription!!

My deal is up in may, anyone else get the feeling they wont do deals for Sky Q customers as they push them towards the streaming/glass devices?

no new special offers for new customers either.

No recording or Sky UHD on streaming devices . Industry meant to be on its knees with piracy while they take away features.

I believe the Sky Q system is here for at least another 5 years minimum. I can see the Sky push for the streaming devices as well. I have a good deal with my current Sky Q contract that suits my situation, so I will just keep an eye on things and choose the best option as and when. I too would not hesitate to drop Sky if I'm not happy!

Sky Q is still being installed but you will have to dig on Sky’s website for it. It is however the only pay TV system still being installed that will allow you to record RTE and the BBC if that is really important to you.
