    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has got this laid lately and rough labour costs/duration? Have about 60 SQM of floor to lay (includes 10%) wastage, would need to take up tiles and laminate flooring up first. Based in the Clare/Limerick region

    Thanks

My no's may not be accurate but here is rough breakup for flooring in Dublin.

Normal planks :- 14-17 Euro sq yards

Herringbone :- 28-35 Euro Sq yards (Double) + 20% breakage.

It would take max 2 days with cleaning, rubbish removal to lay 60 sqm.

Also, different contractor do different pricing. Some may want to price it as an whole job i.e. 2 days of work, 60 sqm herringbone of X, Y, Z variety = lumpsum X thousand euros.

While some may do = X euros for total material, Y Euros for total area + breakage + labour + corner, small areas extras.

I'm looking to get similar done.

The house have has suspended floors and blocked vents. Is it possible to ask someone like Matt Brittons so put in new vents and add an airproof membrane when doing the flooring? For a fee of course?
