Apparently it's on tonight. Heard a bit of a couple of songs and exactly what you'd think they'd be.

RTE having anything to do with it is a recipe for failure.

The Eurovision final is on Sat May 15th.

Tonight is the Late Late Show's Eurovision episode where they the artists perform their songs and the song that gets selected represents Ireland in the semi finals.

It's a mix of public and jury vote.

Waste of money as usual. After that mad one last year you can imagine what they'll pick this time around.

the RTE chap said today that it is the Israeli broadcasting corporation and not Israel that is in the competition - so all those times Ireland thought it had won it was actually RTE were the winners. Hmmm

Can they just shut up and sing? I've had great nights watching Eurovision for decades, but the level of hubristic arm-waving and flag fetishing lately has really put me off the whole thing. Get Samantha Mumba to sing in her underwear - she has a fine voice- and we might have a chance of winning again.
