Tyre wear: what sort of mileage do you get

Just wondering what kind of mileage is typical for normal cars. I would have thought 30,000 km or two or so years would be average. My car's tyres lasted well beyond that but this seems unusual. Tyres are 205/55R16

I found a huge variation. Bridgestone tyres i had on id3 and they were gone after 25 thousand kms. Fitted Goodyear tyres and got thousand kms out of them. So no contest there.

You haven’t mentioned if your referring to front or rear tyres, or if you have a front or rear wheel drive car

Or the type of roads you drive on.

Doing on motorway versus twisty back roads will also significantly impact tyre wear life.

Driving style is also a factor too.

41,000km. Changed after 4 years. AWD EV. 20” wheels.

Current 2022 car is on 42,000km. Original tyres with loads left.

    Both cars are Michelin equipped.

Been using Hankook for about 7-8 years. From ventus 2 to currently ventus 4. Always averaging 40k kms. Fwd 16' wheels. I rotate tyres once a year

Citroen Grand Picasso - 40-50k km on good brand tyres (Michelin & Dunlop to date)
Leaf 40kW - 46k km from new on original Goodyears .. maybe half worn at this point

I tend to run slightly higher than book pressure and keep an eye on it occasionally. Mix of urban and distance (motorway & N roads) driving

Edit to add: have had similar mileages on
Avon & Michelin tyres on Alfa 156
Michelin, Bridgestone and Dunlop on Citroen C8 and various other cars over the years .. rarely get less than 45k km from a set, and usually change before the wear bars are met.
