Resistance of doorbell transformer

Hi All.

I was doing some DIY to install eufy doorbell wired.

My current doorbell transformer is ABB TM 10/12 (up to 10VA).

I did some soldering to extend wires and I checked the conection with a multimeter. The readings are: 10.8 V and the resistance shows 2.3 M Ohm (mega Ohm I presume).

My question is: is the resistance of doorbell circut ok or did my soldering inscreased resistance? I did not check the resistance before so I cannot compare :/

Where are you testing is it on the doorbell side?

The resistance of a transformer coil should be around the 50 ohm mark, maybe 120 ohm at most, but nowhere near megaohms! As @crasy dash asked, where are you measuring this?

Id agree that's a huge ohm reading must be at the push button and testing between the two wires I'd imagine.

Yes, I tested it at the push button end. I just attached multitool to 2 push button wires so I got the resistance of the whole circuit. I have some experience with soldering and I think the connections are good. It's just the reading that surprised me.
