Putting in a smart thermostat

    Can anyone tell me is it possible to put in a smart timeclock to replace this.

    hi there. Get yourself the Shelly plus 2pm. You have 2 zones going by your time clock. Hot water and heating. There is 2 relays in thhe Shelly unit and you can control them separately. They are fantastic. Also you can add Bluetooth thermostats though this unit also.

    Nest Gen 3 can also do heating and HW, not the Nest E though.

    Have replaced one oil and one gas basic timeclock setup with them, fairly easy (except the mains was inverted, colour wise, on the old oil one, which didn't blow up the Heatlink bit of the Nest thank feck; just didn't work).

    If you are not an electrician beware all wires may be live. Colour codes can be all over the place. Verify what wire does what before disconnecting them. There may be a chart on the mounting plate or back of old unit.
