Not sure if these contain any salt. I would read the list of contents before putting in gun safe as if there is salt it may cause rust

Go to any electronics, camera, computer, etc store like Harvey Normans, etc and ask if they have any of the silica gel packets that are shipped with every bit of electronics as a dampness inhibitor. It is usually dumped out with the waste package and a couple of minutes rooting by you will get you enough to deal with any moisture problems in your safe for life for Free.As if the crystals get damp, all you need to do is pop the package in the oven on a low setting for a few minutes to drive off the moisture,as the crystals go into a gel like state if damp.Just throw a half dozen of the packages on the floor or shelf of the safe and job done,or if you are a neatness freak, put them in a little loose weave material cloth bag .I just use an old cotton sock to keep the packages together, cos i'm cheap!
