Speed cameras on the Drummartin Link Road

I use this road on my way home from work at weekends. I got a speeding fine in the post today. Hands up, I was over the limit but not excessively so as it was 5.30 pm and I was in traffic. I've used this route for the last 2 - 3 years and hadn't noticed the speed cameras previously. My issue is the 3 penalty points and a dread that I might have been caught in a similar fashion the following day. So, warning to anyone using that road, take care. I know there are plans in place to reduce speed but it would help if the speed limit was clearly marked in the suburbs.

I don't think you're going to get much sympathy here. There's a load of speed limit signs on that and neighbouring roads that intersect with with. I'm not sure how you'd consider it to be anything other than 50 either. The only roads around that area that are more than 50 are the M50, the green route parallel to the M50, and a small stretch outside the Clayton hotel.

I wasn't looking for sympathy, merely putting a warning up that this area is obviously being targeted now. It's very rare that you can even drive at 50 on that road at rush hour. It was unusually quiet, I took advantage of that and was caught. Will be more careful in future.
