Ceiling Speakers

Hi Folks,

New build going on - have first fixed for 4 ceiling speakers. What is your recommendation for these?

Along with these, what else do I need for a fully functioning system? Need an amp and then a single speaker in front of the TV is it? Or is there bits that can be done without at the start and then add in the future?

If you're looking for good in ceiling speaker you can't go wrong with the Monitor Audio range.

The first ones I would recommend would be the Monitor Audio C2S speakers which are a fantastic small in ceiling speaker and very high spec - they use a lot of the same tweeter and driver technology as the Silver and Gold ranges. They retail at £349/385 euro but I can do a mega deal on these at just £245/295 euro each:

Next on the list would be the Monitor Audio C180 which are a little larger but don;t have as good a driver as the C2S. The extra size would give a little bit more depth but the C2S would have much better detail and clarity. These retail at £225 but the euro price is way better at 199 euro:

If you're looking to add the speakers as a surround sound system you would need one centre speaker, a front left and right and two rears as well. I would also recommend a sub just to pick up the lower frequencies that a ceiling speaker can't quite get to.
