GoMo intermittent signal dropout on 5G

Over the past couple of weeks I have been facing intermittent missing signal on GoMo. This happened anywhere rather than any specific area, even in the middle of Dublin. When the signal dropped, I can't get online. Turning on and off the flight mode helped occasionally, but not all the time. Even on 5G, the speed is hilariously slow to the point of unsable on social apps. I have not exceeded the 100 Gb limit in anyway, does anyone facing the same issue lately?

I'm using a rather old Sony Xperia but I don't have any issue with Vodafone and GoMo until recently, and I don't have any other phone to test with. But at this point given how often this happens I'm contemplating switching back to Vodafone…

Back up the phone and reinstall it to default.

If that doesn’t work then try a replacement sim, sensitive snowflakes they are, a small voltage surge when not even charging can damage them.

I had the same issue when I was with GoMo/Eir years ago, it seems to be an issue with their network. If you have iCloud Private Relay enabled that can also cause issues.

I found the same on an iPhone 15 a few years ago on GoMo with a Three eSIM except data would stop completely on me every few days.

Airplane mode would bring it back for a few minutes but only a full reboot of the phone would bring it back for longer.

Since moving networks (Vodafone and Three dual eSIM, now dual Three eSIM) I only ever have to reboot the phone to do software updates and I've never had to airplane mode.

did you always have VoLTE on ? The 4/5G handover can be tricky sticky sometimes, VoLTE though can cause as many issues as it fixes it’s only good if the network base stations aren’t aging like an alcoholics skin.
