Anyone heard of these two brands?

they are sponsoring the rugby atm and looked into the

JAecoo j7 hybrid and it looks good for the money on the suface.

i was holding out for the dacia bigster in May/June but this could change my mind.

Interesting the specs I've found, both companies seem to be the same as there was OMODA options on the Jaecoo website and vice versa

Yes I have heard of them. The OMODO 5 is on sale in the UK in both petrol and electric form.

They are both owned by the same company in China I think. Chery I think it is.

We seem to be cheaper at the moment when it comes to EVs than the UK. Take the baseline Tesla Model 3 for example is £39,990 (€47,300) in the UK but it's €37,484 in Ireland.

Ok we're still a lot more expensive than the Kr355,000 (€31k) that you can get one in Norway for but at least we're cheaper than the UK on this occasion

It wouldn't surprise me if we were cheaper when the OMODO 5 comes here

Some of that difference comes from the fact that we have the SEAI grant and the UK has none. But it doesn't account for all of it. Possibly the VRT at 0% makes up the rest?

Is Irish Vat that much more than UK vat ?

Its normally the VRT here that's the big difference, is the 5 grand grant on ev s still a thing, kind of levels out a bit ..
