I’m over in the US for a week. Suddenly after 2 days my phone informs me i have AI with a set up process. I didn’t change any settings or languages etc, it just appeared after 2 days being here. Is it working back in Ireland for some of you? Apple claims on their website English( Ireland) and UK language has been added.

no, not available until April. You don’t need to change region; the phone knows you’re in the US which is why you can use it.

Apple intelligence activated when I went on a recent trip to Belfast for a few days, and then sure enough deactivated when I came south of the border. Still using my Irish apple account the whole time.

IP driven then, I haven’t even looked into it yet. I’m guessing if it’s active as soon as my cross network data on a iPhone with Ire & UK sim is gonna cause problems - even more so at the Northern border lol.

iPhone will be like Elon on ketamine, won’t know if it’s coming or going hahah

It's handy to get it working in Ireland, i've been using it since last year.

Set up another itunes account and have it based in the US.

On your device, go to icloud, media and purchases and then sign in with this new itunes account there. it will retain your normal itunes account for everything else such as facetime and imessage and icloud back ups, but it will give you access to Apple Intelligence.
