Large number of schools were closed due to the terrible weather (obviously varied from county to county.

    Some only closed one day.

Some closed for the whole week on health and safety ground.

It will be interesting to see if the schools that closed the full week will be asked or made to make up the days.

Think there were changes made many years ago after the 2010 snowfall in relation to this.

Wonder if it's added to end of year or part of Easter holidays (which will cause issues with school trips abroad)

We were out for 3 days but taught online, therefore we were working. Surely we don't have to forfeit days if we were working while out.

That would be very awkward for many people. Families of pupils and teachers too will have already made arrangements for days off throughout the year. Many will have booked holidays or weekend breaks. Its difficult to see how these could be altered.

If the BOM is satisfied that missed tuition time can be made up, there will be no need to work additional days.

In primary, this can be achieved by shortening the time allocated to assembly time and using discretionary time to focus on core subject tuition. If further time is needed, the likes of school concerts, sports' day, school tours etc.etc. can be cancelled.

schools should always put out the message to give school work online then everyone is happy. whats the difference of students working away taking notes and doing questions in class or at home?

we were closed for 5 days but have been told we won’t need to make up the days but will be reducing trips etc instead. We did some online teaching but there was no provisions from the department to do so and as a result the principal couldn’t ask a to teach classes live but he did ask us to send on work

Unions have warned about sending in work or doing online video classes when schools are technically closed.

There needs to be some serious clarification on what the procedure is for this

How you mean? The procedure is that you don't do it.
