    Hello,

I have a 120 GB SSD that is used for Windows installation and other applications; I have purchased a 1 TB SSD.

I want to move all files including Windows over to the 1Tb ssd, and dispose of of the 120 ssd.

Can someone point me to a resource which outlines all the steps please

    Cheers

    Pat

Windows is fine on 120GB, perhaps 250 if intend to have lots of programs installed.
Your main folders(Desk, Docs, Downl, Pic, Vid, etc) dont have to be on same disk - you can point them to separate storage and wont know the difference, benefit - even if your OS drive fail, you can attach drive to other PC and still access your files, while sorting your OS. This does not substitute as backup.
Most of programs and games allow to be installed on drive other than OS (C:\) - this allow to preserve C:\ drive for Windows part alone

If still want to move to bigger(or smaller *) drive you looking for "clone" - self explanatory, it make exact copy of your current drive. You still retain fully functional original drive
Samsung SSD's come with "magician" for cloning, but only work with samsung disks, for other brands you will/might need third party, some might be free

Note * : cloning to smaller drive, as long actual DATA fits to it, might require additional partition managing.

I used macrium reflect to clone the drives.
