Disable a HKC PIR sensor

Howdy all - I have an older HKC system (10270) which has a PIR sensor in the shed on it's own zone (17). I suspect we may have a unwelcome rodent which may be setting off the alarm when the PIR picks up some movement. I would like to disable the PIR until I can investigate the situation.

I have engineer access so I went into the zone menu, zone options and excluded zone 17 from partset a & b which are the two I use. Is this enough to force the alarm to ignore the sensor or do I need to do something in the devices menu?

    Thanks in advance!
