Didn't expect this much snow here in Waterford City. A Winter Wonderland and still coming down.

The previous one was getting impacted by the page jumping issue too much so a new one was opened to see if it'd be less affected.

It's been snowing in Tipp for 4.5 hours, recently lightened up a bit. Couldn't see this far earlier.

Stopping now near Mallow more or less. About 5 to 6 hours of snow is impressive for here.

I honestly expected it heavier once it started here but it has died down an awful lot

Yes nearly in Westmeath actually, so it was clear from yesterday that this time we miss out, as we did in November. Sometimes we get the sweet spot, but it's been a while. There might be something during the week. Again, luck will play a part.

Few pics from Carlow Town and Graiguecullen where it's still coming down hard and heavy 👌

Had turned back to rain in Wexford but wet bulb has dropped off a cliff n the last hour and it's now snowing again. Looks to be quite a bit of precipitation around still so hopefully can build up a covering.

    Honestly didn't expect anything.

Too marginal for my location near the coast in East Cork, don't think we'll even manage a dusting by the end of the day.

Feels baltic out in Bray but nothing more than cold rain and a little bit of sleet.

Disappointing to not even get a few flurries as it pulls away but it is what it is.

Now to see if the rain that's fallen freezes tonight

Hard to believe that the Dublin suburbs have only had sleet....unusual all the same...

It has cleared up now and become colder. The breeze makes it feel even colder.

We have just lost mains power in Kilpedder, North East Wicklow.

Luckily I keep a 12 volt battery charged in case of a sudden zombie apocalypse. I connected it to the router and the internet signal is still working.

Otherwise, still lashing rain at now 16mm total for the day, wind still from the north at average speed of 5 kmph and temp steady at 2.8 C

Time to dig out the wind up radio and see what might be happening in the outside world. It's been a while since we had a power cut in these parts.

Not a single flake of snow where I am in south west Cork. My sister 20 minutes away got snow. Just stopped raining here and there'll be more rain overnight. So does that mean less chance of dangerous roads in the morning?

Also, will any of us down get a second chance at snow during the week?

    Please and thank you!!
