Switching broadband

Hi.

I am currently with eir 1Gb fiber broadband but my contract ends next month. It means that I will be paying approx. twice as much as I am paying now. My options are either to stay with eir and pay more or switch to another service broker. I don’t want to drill another hole and install another piece of equipment for my fibre. My question is if my existing fiber can be used by another service provider? Also I am having kitchen renovation and thinking about moving fiber socket somewhere else. Is it very hard to do? Thanks.

First of all phone eir and see what deal they'll offer you to stay. They are usually quite good.

Otherwise you can switch to another provider. If they use the same wholesale network, there will be no extra installation necessary. All you will need to do is swap the routers around.
