Ewes breaking out

My ewes are due to lamb in March. However this year they have started breaking out a good bit into my own fields but also into a neighbours.

I have moved them back closer to the yard. Would a few nuts now keep them quiet, ie would it stop them from breaking out?

Is there wire in front of them Tom? If the answer is no, I think you know what will stop them from breaking out.

You right, no wire. Was hoping to get away with not putting wire in internal fields, it's fine on external boundaries, don't mind putting wire down on external boundaries

I’d say a day of good old fencing is your only option! Sure if you’re paying any tax think of it as better than giving it to revenue. Plus you can be in with your feet up instead of running after ewes

They'll ate the nuts and break out anyway.

Would an advantage feeder help to keep ewes from roaming. I'd imagine they would keep coming back to the feeder for nuts

Id say it would help bit if there were a few rogues that get a taste for wandering they would still go id say..i could picture them eating a breakfast and then going for.a wander
