Converting Solid Fuel Stove to Boiler Stove

Hi all. We bought our house just over a year ago and decided to install a stove. The house had a back boiler system in place but the stove we bought was a conventional solid fuel stove.

Is there any way of converting this to a boiler stove without buying a new stove. Like an add-on which could then be hooked up to the existing system? The current stove we have is just over a year old and seems like a waste to pull it out to buy a new boiler stove.

    Thanks

Not really, Boiler stoves will also use far more fuel and realistically do a poor job of heating your central heating system. They also won’t heat the room anything like as well as a non boiler option.

In most cases, it’s not a good idea. I’m all for stoves, but they do their best work as a room heater.
