Combi Boiler Pressure

    HI all

A quick question in relation to my combi. It's a brand new system but I know noticed some of the radiators needed to be bled. System pressure was reading 0.8. I bled radiators and topped up system pressure to 1.4. All good thus far.

Only issue is I have noticed the pressure gauge on the flexible loop is now reading 4 PSI. This seems far too high?

Not sure how or if I can fix this?

Hi, in reality the pressure release valve should let off the pressure if it's above 2.5bar, so it seems unlikely that the loop valve is showing correctly. Try bleeding off some water and see if both gauges drop in a manner consistent with each other. That should give you an indication as to whether one is faulty. Then top up again using whatever gauge seems to be the most sane.

Have you two valves at each end of the flexible loop? Close the one at the mains/pump side and open the one to fill the system, it should equalise with the boiler system then.

Note also that PSI and Bar are different scales.
4 PSI = 0.276 bars, so it would actually be very low.
