Tributes have been paid to a Palestinian football player, who spent time in Ireland when he was a boy, after his death in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza yesterday.

Twenty-year-old Muhammad Khalifa and seven other members of his family killed.

He is one of 350 football players killed by Isreal in Gaza. When will it stop?

Enough blood and lives have been lost there already. Time for it to stop.

In any other country he could have been a star. He could have been a great addition to the Irish football team.

    This is so sad.

    May he and his family

    Rest In Peace

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
