Is there a box that automatically updates channels?

Having an awful time with my Amiko trying to retune missing channels, and I'm a reasonably tech-literate person. If my parents had to do this they'd just give up.

Is there any sort of box that auto-updates the channels that get broken?

the boxes issued by freesat will auto update their channels and epg. The downside is it only shows the freesat approved channels, not all the other channels that can be freely got via satellite. That being said, the majority of what you want should be there. It’s what I just use.

any enigma. 2 box running images like open vix or open atv have a feature called auto bouquet maker and that can be configured to run daily, weekly and it will update all the channels. Or you can just run it manually when you notice a channel missing. Boxes are Zgemmah7s, uno, gigablue, octagon, that come to mind. It’s all in the Zgemmah7s guide thread. But initial learning is steep.

U can get an old sky hd.
box with a uk card and that will auto update.

This freesat box, set it up once and you're done.

If you have managed to find the missing channels, then you will know how to keep the Amiko up to date. The changes to the main British channels are now complete (I think). You can check yours against the New Manual Tuning Pages on RX. And there are video guides on YouTube showing how to tune channels on Amikos.

Thanks for that, I should be able to get some of the missing ITV channels now.
