Carbon Wheels

    Looking for advice on Carbon wheel, can get a set custom built from a LBS for around 1,200, or I could go down the route of somewhere like sigma online.

    Anyone any thoughts?

    Last post got closed due to a breach of rules - want to make it clear I have no intention of committing tax fraud, wheels are eligible to be purchased on a C2W scheme where I am based.

    I think if you are not looking for the super high end then the value available by the chinese manufacturers cannot be beaten.

    Lun wheels, Farsports, Elite Wheels, ican. Much better value for money. I got a 50mm deep wheels weighing 1450g for about €400 3 years ago and they have never caused me any issues. Front wheel retrued last week but only because I was involved in 2 head on collisions in the last 6 weeks.

    have some 50mm deep bontrager aeolus pro5 that I got as cosmetic seconds from mantel in 2021 lovely wheels.

    got three pairs all brilliant

    ENT PRO rim brake 50mm have them 5 years - only maintenance has been freehub bearing =440 delivered

    like them so much didnt hesistate to repeat for TT bike

    Rim 88mm front & full carbon disc for TT= 800 euro delivered

    and so much so needed wheels for gravel build and got another set.

    ENT Gravel disc = 440 delivered

    Go straight to Elite wheels official store on ali express and see the options.

    message them with exactly what you require and confirm.

    top tip - get spares while you are ordering as orignially i got spare spokes & rim tape etc 6 years ago.

    not the case anymore.
