Where to see Murmuration near Lough Ree

this might be an impossible question to answer, but does anyone know of any locations on the lake where I might be more likely to see a starling murmuration at this time of the year?
Ideally in the Glasson area as I’ll be there for a night

Have a look at the link below, which is the BirdWatch Ireland Starling Murmuration Survey. Scroll to the map at the bottom and you can see where Starling murmurations have been seen in recent winters, so your best bet is to pick a location there and keep your fingers crossed that they're present on the same night you're there!

Viewpoint on the way from Athlone to Glasson village, looking out across the lake towards the NE. Usually a good spot, it's at some elevation which helps.

Glasson Lakehouse is a hotel just beyond Glasson Village which has a fantastic elevated view over the lake, if you could pop in for a coffee/drink. Not sure if that's a think or guests only these days, years since I was there tbh

Need a car really for both spots, roads are terribly dangerous to walk
