    can someone please give the going rate for new basic pvc anthracite / black windows for a small 3 bed ..6 windows. Also sliding patio doors, anthracite - basic model as it’s just for selling house. Many thanks. Got one quote and was €14 k which was a lot more than expected.

    ~850 a window for 1.2m by 1.2m and triple glazed, was the rate quoted to me. Sliding patio door was 3,000 alone.

    Yours sounds high unless there are other added factors.

    Do you think you will get the 14k or whatever back in a sale: I doubt it

    It may be counterproductive as might put off people who want to do a deep refurb and see brand new windows.

    What the existing U value vs the new

    6 months ago I was quoted between 12-15k by 3 different companies for 14 windows and a French double door. Double glazing, grey on outside, white on inside. At my quote, I reckon you should be somewhere around the 8-9k mark.
