Petrol power washers will require servicing.

I'd stick with electric for what your needs are. I have a K5 , great yoke.

Just to advise, I have the Karcher K4 since Feb 2017 and it's done a good few hours each year since. Got it for €235 at the time with a multitude of attachments. Find it good and in particular the turbo lance which would probably strip paint, the patio attachment is good for lighter work and especially handy as it contains the dirt keeping you and surrounding areas clear. However it won't be as good/powerful as an industrial petrol machine but is hassle free.

Over the years the only issue I've had is the mixing manifold cracked leaking water when in operation. One advantage of Karcher is that parts are easy to get and the service centre in Ballymount is surprisingly good and competitive on pricing.

some kits offer less: is this the one you are looking at? ( with the patio cleaner attachment )

Kranzle would be the best electric powerwasher. They are more expensive but worth it imo

Karcher are fine. I'm still using an ancient one that is 15-20 years old.

If you need a lot of power make sure you get the dirt blaster head, it really cuts deeply into dirt and is too far too strong for some jobs.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Ancient ones were a lot better quality than the newer ones.

The old one is just a yellow and black box with wheels and a handle on top, nothing fancy looking but it certainly does the job. There's a good chance it could be 25 years old.

Got a Screwfix titan washer it's 175 euro it's decent enough 2 years guarantee, have got a few titan bits now find them good, cheap and cheerful, used to hire out washers, should have bought one years ago very handy to have, I find that the branded stuff is not as good as it used to be, quality is just not in the stuff anymore. and if it fails in 2 years I will just bring it back and get it replaced,
