Separate thread from the main Meta Quest thread to discuss all thing related to using a PC for VR games.

For PCVR the PC does the processing for the game and streams the game directly to VR headset through a router or a link cable can be used to connect PC direct to a headset.

Id be a newbie for PCVR so Im going to post some tips on my exact setup. Here is the video I used to get going with Virtual Desktop and Steam VR:

It's actually the Luke Ross R.E.A.L VR mod is needed for Avatar. And possibly an older version of the game. I need to look into it.

So the latest version of the R.E.A.L. mod which was put out on his patreon a few days ago is working with the latest version of Avatar.

It looks gorgeous but when you move the right analog stick you see double while turning and when turning your head the field of view gets narrower at the sides.

GTA V suffers from the double vision thing too but it's much less. Some more tweaking to do.

Also the mod is available as a zip file and you can drag and drop it into the folder of any of the supported games. So it's a one for all job.

During a recent interview with Valve, the company confirmed that it has no first-party VR content in the works, for the headset’s launch or otherwise. When asked if the company had any VR content in development, a member of the Steam Frame team responded with a simple and definitive “no.”

Bought Of Lies And Rain full Steam version and really enjoying it. More enemies as you progress and judging by certain total collectables its going to be a long enough experience. Weapon upgrades are cool also. Not often I see a good full fat PCVR game like Vertigo 2 and Half-Life: Alyx.

Side note: from the devs who made Ark and Ade which was 1 of my favourite early buys on Quest.
