Just wondering it other counties would have the quality of the folk we have running up here in Donegal?

This guy has his dog in the poster for some reason. Maybe it's the dog that's running?

Then we have another guy whose poster says "getting back to family values", but he is currently off the road as the guards had to chase him down at 160km/h a few years ago, and smash his car window as he refused to come out of the car when finally stopped. I'll try to get a shot of his poster later, it's another classic.

So any other eejits running in the country?

Anybody else spot this doozy from the Taimid manifesto? -

We will reduce the VAT from 23% to 11% as a standard flat rate for everything which will automatically reduce the cost of living and other expenses. An average family with €100.000.00 net income will have an extra €12.000.00 back to spend with business having reduced costing.

Two things:

• Am not sure that very many "average" families have a net income of €100,000.
• Even if they did, the only way they'd benefit to the tune of €12,000 is if they currently spent every single cent of that €100,000 on items that incur a 23% VAT rate.

By the way, I presume there should be a fada on the a in 'Taimid', to make it 'Táimid'.

It's always interesting who these wasters seem to think their accident of birth is an entitlement to break the laws of the state when in reality all it means is that we are stuck with an other racist git.

And yes all countries have their nutters although it's not so easy to run in some countries as the don't allow independents to run.

I'm Irish by birth and Swiss by choice and couple of weeks after I got my Swiss citizenship, I had the president of the local ultra right wing party ring me up and invited me to their monthly meeting! I refused to speak to him in the local German dialect and made him speak English and he still thought it was a good idea! I was like, you spent your life trying to prevent me from getting citizenship, I refused to speak the local language with you and you still think I make a good member….. absolute nut jobs.
