Hi , just turned 50 and a massive queen fan and I am thinking of getting my first tattoo. Id like to get something as a homage queen and love the album cover of Inneuendo which is based on an 18th century French drawing ,see below. My questions are

    1. Is something like this even probable as a tattoo because there is a lot of detail
    2. How much would something like this cost
    3. Whats the minimum size this could possibly be done
    4. Im hairy and fat if that makes a difference to body location
    5. How long would something like this take
    6. Do people think this would look ridiculous

I know the questions above may seem silly but id love some broad indication before visiting a parlor.

    Thanks for any help

    1. Is something like this even probable as a tattoo because there is a lot of detail

Its possible but will have to be BIG to keep the detail.

    1. How much would something like this cost

Id estimate between 500-1000 depending on the artist , placement.

    1. Whats the minimum size this could possibly be done

Probably A4 page sized to jeep the detail.

    1. Im hairy and fat if that makes a difference to body location

No difference - they shave you anyway but if your really hairy and get i done where the hair grows back thick then you wont see the tattoo.

    1. How long would something like this take

For me I could get it done in one sitting - say 7 - 8 hours but Im fairly heavily tattooed. This is your fisrt so I woukd estimate 2 sittings a few days apart. But it also depends on where you are getting it done on your body - ribs-forget about it as a first tattoo. I havent even gone there yet!! Back of calf would be a good place for it unless you have little skinny legs.

    1. Do people think this would look ridiculous

Doesnt matter what other people think as long as you like it. Personally I like it and think it would look good if done by the right artist. But I like that style of old black and grey anyway - the pic below is my next one as a full back piece in black and grey.

I won't answer your questions as I'm not a tattoo expert although I do have a few and love them. What I do know is that you should take plenty of time to find someone who you think will do it justice

    I think it's a great idea for a tattoo
