If you met someone and you were caught looking at their wedding ring (you were single and you weren't sure if the other person was), how would you react to that situation, laugh it off or admit to it?

Just say "it's a nice ring" and leave it at that I think. Anyone that gets hung up on whether you're looking at their wedding ring should be given a wide berth anyway I'd imagine.

Admit to looking at the other person's wedding ring or laugh it off?? Would it not be simpler just to ask this other person if they're married?

As you get older it's easier to cut to the chase if you see a wedding ring, no point checking out someone's road frontage and rear end in a pub for an hour if she has a sparkler on the finger and taken.

Why bring it up? Like so what if somebody noticed you checking, it’s not a crime. If they said it to you specifically just laugh it off - be weird to deny it (unless it’s a work colleague and you need to work with that person then I’d air in the side of denial and say the glint caught my eye or something)
