Brilliant brilliant actor with a defining voice too, way too young ☹️

    Master of the Universe

You weren't a true 90's kid unless you stood in front of a mirror at least once and said 'Candyman' five times. (And then freaked out and ran away!)

As if it wasn't sad enough before watching the ending now will be heartbreaking.

Aw, man. Always loved seeing Tony Todd. It's fitting that this week's Lower Decks has plenty in it from TNG-era Klingon episodes, too. I was quite expecting a post-lobotomy Kurn to pop-up in at actually. Alas.

I used to have TNG episode Redemption on VHS, edited as a single 90 minute TV-movie style thing (loved those edits), and his performance as Kurn in that is fantastic, it really stands out. As Kurn he's easily able to out-Klingon Worf, tower over him, and put him in his place when necessary, while also getting the 'stuck in the shadow' younger-brother angst across perfectly. And I always thought it was so cool that Worf's brother was the Candyman guy! Bad-ass.

    RIP Tony Todd.

Wow, just looking at Kurn's page on Memory Alpha and he was only in three TNG episodes? And just one from DS9?

That seems crazy to me. That performance and character left a huge impression. (Although, maybe I did watch that Redemption VHS a million or two times).

Two DS9 I think. Visitor as old man Jake and suicidal Kurn

Fairly sure he was the big Hirogen lad on Voyager once

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

Yeah, Tony Todd had a couple of other roles. Specifically the Kurn character though, I thought was in a lot more episodes. And 2 of those 3 TNG episodes were parts 1 and 2 of the same story, too. I guess TNG-era Trek didn't really bring back characters that often.
