Hi Folks

I have an issue with my sensor in my shed.

It is a wired sensor from a HKC alarm. Recently it has started triggering despite no one opening the door. On the text I get, it either says AlarmPulse or just alarm on the specific Zone. It’s prob not needed, I have nothing in the shed. How can I disconnect it fully or just not arm that zone when in the house or leaving ?

Secondly on my mother’s HKC alarm she has lost the 30second break before the full alarm rings. She had construction work done a few weeks ago in the house and now when she opens the back door it keeps going into full alarm straight away instead of giving you 30 seconds to unarm the panel.

You can bypass the zone by setting the alarm, then press * (zone number) and yes.

This will inhibit that zone.

In order to have the entry time, the zone needs to be setup as entry/exit.

I would say the builder changed to wiring or programming in the control panel if this was previously in place.

Thanks, can you isolate 2 zones ?

Don’t mind me. I got it sorted isolating 2 zones. I’ll prob need to disconnect the cables for the shed in the morning. Thanks folks.

You could by putting a loop of cable over the zone alarm and tamper in the control panel.

If you suspect its the sensor, you could also replace this.
