Back in the day, I would have said Zsa Zsa Gabor.

She had a minor career as an actress in the 1950s, but then somehow stayed and became more famous as a glamorous 'socialite' who hung out with the stars of the day, had a distinctive\exotic name, and popped up on chat shows etc

Things came back full circle and her 'celebrity' status would see her cameo in TV and Film in the 1990s eg Naked Gun.

Funnily enough in light of the first few posts, Paris Hilton's great grandfather Conrad Hilton was once married to Zsa Zsa Gabor (one of her nine marriages).

I think a lot of kids of celebrities are famous for being famous. Nicole and Sofia Richie, Brooklyn Beckham and Haylie Baldwin spring to mind.
