Panelling picture frame moulding.

Looking for some advice.

Doing panelling in the hall, up the stairs and on to the landing.

Dado rail is done.

I've cut a block of wood 10cm to use marking out the walls.

Problem is, she wants to have panelling on small walls where a 10cm gap either side of the panelling from the wall won't fit.

Do I simply reduce the gap on these smaller panels between the wall and panel?

Any advice, is greatly appreciated.

What length is the 'small wall'?

If you're having 10cm top and bottom, ideally you should have 10cms each side and reduce or increase the frame width.

Some of the wall panels are only 19cm to 23cm

I would have always done 10cm top, bottom and both sides.

I've never changed side gaps for certain panels before so a bit unsure
