    Hi Folks

Assembling a HiFi seperates system for the first time, and have 2 questions - which are probably quite amateur, but i just want to run it by someone

We have our speakers, and have an Amplifier, Turn Table, and Radio en route. The Amp has bluetooth, which is of significant use to us. The two remaining inputs, we would like to us our TV output, by way of a 3.5MM Jack to RCA adaptor - i believe this should work nicely? Just wanted to check in case im missing something

The other question relates to a CD player - my missus is passionate about Vinyl, hence the Turn Table purchase. We made this at the cost of a CD Player, which will now be lacking.

My question is this: If i have a DVD Player (which can be picked up for 40 euro in Currys), i effectively have a Compact Disc Player, with RCA Outputs, would it function correctly as a CD player Seperate - there wont be any HDMI cable connected: I havent used a Seperate CD player since moving out of my parents some 25 years ago, but i seem to recall that a DVD player will simply start playing an Audio CD when it is inserted?

Perhaps someone has already done exactly this, and could clarify whether this would work.

    Thanks in advance

Sic semper tyrannis - thus always to Tyrants
